The 2 Chambers Street Express is a rapid transit service in the A Division of the Potato City Subway. Its route logo, or "bullet," is colored red since it is a part of the ART Chambers Street Line in Potatoburg.
The 2 operates at all times. From approximately 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., the 2 operates between Polo Grounds in Britannica and Tremont Avenue in Westpotat, making all stops along the ART Polo Grounds Line in Britannica, express stops along the ART Chambers Street Line in Cadland, Potatoburg, and Westpotat, and all stops along the ART Yankton Avenue Line in Westpotat. During late night hours from approximately 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., the 2 Polo Grounds Shuttle only operates between Polo Grounds in Britannica and 86th Street in Cadland, making all stops along the ART Polo Grounds Line in Britannica.
Automated announcements onboard modern 2 trains are voiced by Joseph Grant.
History
Creation
Service began on November 23, 1904.
After some point between 1979 and 1984, the 2 no longer served Suffolk Avenue after its loop platforms were decommissioned, with the new southern end becoming Tremont Avenue.
